Welcome beautiful friend!
My name is Alicia. I am a girl mom to Addison 5, and Lucy 3. I’m an educated mother trucker with a Master’s degree in Nursing & 13 years experience as a registered nurse. People describe me as free spirit that truly believes she can change the world. I alternate between peace loving 60’s hippie to a skull loving rocker chick. I have always felt a deep sense of purpose or calling to improve the lives of others. My goal is to live an authentic life on my own terms. However, somewhere along the way I lost myself which lead me here today!
Way back in the day (high school) I was very athletic and active. I have chronic lower back pain that progressively got worse as I got older. The worse the pain got , the less active I became. I began to use my pain as a crutch. A year after having my second daughter I found myself 60 pounds overweight, still wearing maternity clothes, depressed, and in a passionless marriage because I was so embarrassed of my body shape. I always had the best intentions of starting a diet & exercise but found myself failing & giving up. I would beat myself up, compare myself to others & accuse my husband of not being attracted to me because I was bigger.
Where it all began…
One day I was invited to check out the Beachbody coaching opportunity. I had no idea what the heck it was. I only saw how much fun it looked so I thought it couldn’t hurt & checked it out. It looked amazing and I wanted to do what they did, but thought I had to be skinny & fit to do it. However, I found out that coaches are all shapes and sizes. If I signed up as a coach I would have more accountability & people would see me lose weight & trust me. I said “Screw it” & signed up. I had nothing to lose but pounds & honestly, I was so ready for a change.
I was a Nurse Director when I signed up as a coach. I only signed up as a coach for the accountability. If I was going to post my story on social media, I’d have to show up. Coaching lit a fire inside of me. I never planned on making an income with coaching or leaving nursing, but suddenly the possibility was real. I shared my story & helped other women without the limitations I had working in nursing. If you’re a healthcare professional, you know what I am talking about.
In April 2016 I did my 1st online accountability group and it changed my life. I started a program that required 22 minutes of exercise a day. I hated it!!! It was ugly, I struggled but I started to see results. I ended up losing over 50 pounds, 10 pant sizes and a hell of a lot of self-doubt. I started to feel confident that I was strong, beautiful and worthy. My back pain also improved with the weight loss.
For the past 2.5 years, I have been practicing clean eating, portion control, fitness accountability and I am happy to say that I have kept off over 50 pounds. I have fallen off the wagon more times than I can count but my community has always supported me & reminded me to “Fail Forward!”
I fell in love with helping other mommas reach their fullest potential and now I also help my team of coaches do the exact same thing. We have built an incredible tribe of women all over the United States, Canada and United Kingdom who work to educate others on how to fuel their bodies with mindful eating, exercise & personal development. Most importantly, we help women get their confidence back. Resurrecting their goddess!! Confidence is not a number on a scale or size, it’s a way of life. Loving yourself imperfections & all!
I also help women create & run their own business like I have. I train, guide and mentor other women to grow a successful business that helps them live out their passion, fulfilling a deep sense of purpose. I never imagined that a registered nurse with no formal business training would be running her own business from home with her 2 girls by the beach.
